The moral of the story is this. Save the environment, buy a Prius.

Almost waited to buy one ... got a deal on a V60 so took that instead.

Low soot and high NOX are related to the same fueling decision. So, diesel is “clean” because it’s “dirty”.

Technically, if its a 2015 it has the new engine with urea and SRC, so it should be plenty clean. The EPA isn’t too stoked on being lied to though so it hasn’t gotten its import papers.

Yes, but how do we know that the new ones aren’t cheating by dialing back the urea injection?

But i wasn’t buying one for the environment. I was buying one for the torque, lifespan, 6 speed manual and long range

The only real reason to buy one over a Prius is the manual, and the lack of dorkiness.
